A$AP Ferg has been putting in that “Work” in preparation for his debut Trap Lord which hits stores August 20. The Harlem rapper recently stopped by Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club and chopped it up with the morning show trio about his recent come up. One of the topics was his misunderstanding with Gucci Mane who took exception to Ferg’s use of the title Trap Lord which is similar to the Atlanta rapper’s Trap God. Nothing ever came of the small beef but Ferg said something almost did. “A lot of people don’t know he came up here looking for me. Really I think he was trying to get a Worldstar moment,” said Ferg adding that the two have yet to resolve their issue. “I never spoke to that man and I don’t plan on speaking to him to tell you the truth. I don’t have no problems with nobody. At the end of the day we are all men. Let’s make money.”

Ferg also touched on the inspiration for his latest single “Shabba" and said the reggae legend approved of his song. “His sons know who we are,” said Ferg. “[Ranks] was actually in the video.”
