Lauryn Hill has officially started her three-month prison sentence for tax evasion, according to a report by TMZ. The rapper/singer was booked into the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, at 11:15 a.m. EST. According to the report, Hill will not be isolated because of her celebrity status and will spend the duration of her bid at the minimum security location in general population.

Hill's troubles stem from an unpaid tax debt. The IRS accused the former Fugees frontwoman of not paying nearly $2 million in taxes between 2005 and 2007. As a result, she pled guilty to three counts of tax evasion last year and was sentenced to jail time in May.
