Housed at Los Angeles’s Nokia Theatre, the 2013 BET Awards unloaded a host of performances for its 13th annual show. With Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Miguel and many more hitting the stage, the show definitely left its mark on the downtown venue it was held in for the first time.

Chris Brown opened the show with a futuristic number, performing “Fine China” and “Don’t Think They Know” from his upcoming album X. Other notable performances included Kendrick Lamar who began with “M.A.A.d city” and was later accompanied by Erykah Badu for a rendition of “B*tch, Don’t Kill My Vibe”. R&B legend Charlie Wilson also took the stage with Justin Timberlake, Pharrell and Snoop Lion as they paid homage to the singer upon presenting him with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Later in the program, Ciara brought out Nicki Minaj to perform their just released "I'm Out" while R.Kelly took fans down memory lane belting hit’s like I Wish," "When A Woman's Fed Up” and "Ignition (Remix)". 2 Chainz hit the stage performing “F*ckin’ Problems” with A$AP Rocky and Kendrick. J.Cole and Miguel also joined together for “Power Trip”.
