20-year-old R&B crooner August Alsina has found a place to call home. Now announcing his signage to Def Jam, the newcomer continues to prep for his debut release as well as bask in the glory of the many accomplishments acquired during his short time on the scene.
Grossing over 3.1 million views on his premiere video “I Luv This Shit” featuring Trinidad Jame$, seems August Alsina has come to conquer the world of hip-hop and R&B. In his brief duration, the once troubled singer has also nabbed a placement on MTV’s Fab 5 along with being named one of VEVO’s Emerging Artists, this all surely earning his spot on the Def Jam Recordings/ Radio Killa Records team.
Presently, the singer is prepping to release the visuals to his 2nd single “Downtown” featuring G-Unit’s Kidd Kidd. On August 1, he will also unveil a new single titled “Ghetto” assisted by Rich Homie Quan leading to the August 20 release of his Debut EP DOWNTOWN: Life Under The Gun.
