As die-hard fans of A$AP Ferg—the A$AP Mob's wiliest and wittiest member—the XXL staff was overjoyed to see the young Harlemite in our offices this morning. Luckily, Ferg, who flew in to NYC after a pair of shows in London (he's headed back there this weekend for the Yahoo! Wireless Festival), had a few things to share with us about the progress of his album and what we can expect from the Mob in the coming months.

When asked about A$AP Ant and A$AP Nast's new double-video for "The Way It Go/Trillmatic," Ferg explained, "They shot that video in Japan. I haven't even been to Japan yet. That just goes to show that the rest of the Mob is doing what they gotta do to make their impact." He continued, "Nast has been going hard. Twelvy got a bunch of records that's crazy. Ant just did a short run with Fredo Santana. Everybody's working. Twelvy is in Croatia right now. Me and Rocky are out here... We're just traveling and making sure we're touching the world."

Ferg also went on to discuss a forthcoming A$AP Mob album that's likely to drop after his solo effort Trap Lord, which is set for a late August release. Excited, he said, "We got the A$AP Mob album coming out. We're going to drop it with my tape as a pre-order. The album's supposed to drop after Trap Lord drops, and then you should expect more visuals and singles from other members."
