Last night during game five of the NBA Finals, Jay-Z aired a three-minute video featuring him in the studio with producer Rick Rubin, as well as frequent collaborators Timbaland and Pharrell. Hov is discussing his new album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, which is dropping on July 4. “The album is about, like this duality of how do you navigate through this whole thing, through success, through failures, through all this and remain yourself,” he tells us in the ad.
