Despite claims that he wasn't robbed, San Francisco Police has confirmed with XXL that rapper 2 Chainz was indeed robbed just hours before he was set to perform in concert.

Sgt. Dennis Toomer says the platinum-selling rap star, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, was alongside five members of his entourage in the downtown section of San Francisco on Sunday afternoon when three men approached them, one holding a handgun.

Toomer says that one shot was fired toward the entourage and that the rapper had his cellphone and wallet taken. The shooter is described as a Hispanic male and possibly fled the scene in a gray sedan.

The investigation is still ongoing, and no suspects have been arrested.
