Mac Miller knows the public is itching to see whether his album Watching Movies With The Sound Off or J. Cole's new release, Born Sinner, will stand any chance against Kanye West's Yeezus when all three go on sale next Tuesday (June 18), but he personally doesn't see it as much of a competition.

"I'll tell you who's gonna have the best first week: Kanye West," Mac told Sway Calloway on RapFix Live Wednesday. "If some crazy thing happens, then maybe, but it's Kanye West. He should have the best first week, but the first week isn't really what matters."

Kanye made waves this week with his performance at Governors Ball Sunday night and his listening party the following evening, where he debuted Yeezus with stars such as Jay-Z, Beyonce and Timbaland in attendance. He's also benefiting from the fact that of his main competitors next week, J. Cole's and Miller's albums have already leaked, while Statik Selektah's album is currently streaming on NPR. Billboard's industry sources are predicting that Yeezus could move as many as 500,000 albums in its first week, but Miller said he doesn't much care about whether or not Watching Movies is able to compete.

"What I'm looking to do with my album is trying to have it last 10, 20, 30, 40 years," he explained. "That's what I want to make. I want to make something that people can listen to for a while."
