BET is looking to expand their reality television shows selections by putting four unscripted pilots into development this year. One of them is a new reality show featuring MC Lyte, The Lady Of Rage, Yo Yo, Smooth, Monie Love and Lil Mama titled Hip-Hop Sisters.

The series revolves around the female MCs attempting to relaunch their careers. Adding to Hip-Hop Sisters, BET is also creating a new fitness show featuring celebrity trainer Jeanette Jenkins, as well as a music competition series where popular singers venture into gospel.

BET notes that each of the four projects, “displays the thrills and triumphs of second chances experienced through transformations of health, spirit, career and character.”

You can read a better description of Hip-Hop Sisters below:

Hip-Hop Sisters is a docudrama following the relaunch of six female rappers’ careers. MC Lyte, The Lady of Rage, Yo Yo, Smooth, Monie Love and Lil Mama join forces and declare themselves the hip-hop sisters. Their goal is to reclaim their titles as the Queens of Hip Hop — as they manage their drama-filled personal careers and lives and search for the next great female MC. MC Lyte joins Lemuel Plummer (Vindicated, The Sheards) as executive producer.
