Trinidad Jame$ Receives a Gold Plaque for “All Gold Everything”

It felt like just yesterday that Trinidad Jame$ exploded onto the scene with “All Gold Everything.” Off the strength of the song—which originally appeared on his mixtape Don’t Be S.A.F.E.—he was able to get a Def Jam deal reportedly for $2 million. Now, the ATL rapper has received a Gold plaque for his hit single.

Last night at Tree Sounds Studios, Jame$ celebrated with friends and media for his achievement. He gave a heartfelt acceptance speech reflected on his music career and how far he wants to take it. He sounded humble with the determination to work on his longevity.

Props to the XXL Freshman.

“It felt like just yesterday that Trinidad Jame$ exploded onto the scene with “All Gold Everything.” – Ummmm… noooooo… it feels like 2 years ago, and it’s only gold ? just now ? really ? I want whatever dugs XXL writers take that makes time go by so slowly.

It was about a year ago. Gold isn’t bad at all for someone who was independent at the time of release.
