Roc Nation Sports has made a new acquisition, this time with a rookie for the New York Jets.

FOX News reports that Geno Smith—a rookie quarterback for the New York Jets—has joined Jay-Z's Roc Nation management firm. The move will also bring Kimberly Male under the Roc Nation Sports umbrella as Smith's contract.

“I think it’s just [Jay-Z's] agency," Smith said of signing with the house of Hov. "When you talk about being in New York from a standpoint of what they can do in the city, the connections that they have, I think it’s a good move. My mother and my family is comfortable with it, I’m comfortable with it. I’m just going to move on from there, not let it be a big deal, remain humble and keep focusing on football.”

Geno Smith marks the third athlete signed to Roc Nation Sports. The previous two to join the firm were New York Yankees player Robinson Cano and WNBA rookie Skylar Diggins.
