Who Needs New Friends: DJ Khaled’s Favorite Collaborators
The XXL editorial team hasn’t gotten much work done this week, mostly because we’ve been obsessively watching DJ Khaled’s new “movie,” No New Friends. At this point, it’s become more of a motto/movement/lifestyle for us than just a movie, and we’re essentially ready to lobby for it to be screened at this year’s Cannes film festival.
We can’t pretend to relate to what Khaled is going through in his current social life, but more than anything the movie got us thinking about Khaled’s diminishing circle of friends, that is if he has really embraced the “no new friends” lifestyle. As we anticipate the announcement of features on his seventh album, Suffering from Success, we took a look back at Khaled’s most frequent collaborators in order to make an educated guess as to who’s probably going to be on the record.
And remember – No New Friends.
