When it comes to homosexuality in hip-hop, Snoop Lion doesn’t think the two can co-exist. According to Snoop, the masculine nature of the rap game won’t allow a gay rapper to be accepted. "It's like a football team,” Snoop recently told Guardian UK. “You can't be in a locker room full of motherfucking tough-ass dudes, then all of a sudden say, 'Hey, man, I like you.' You know, that's going to be tough."

Snoop doesn’t think Franks Ocean’s admittance to being gay means a gay rapper coming out of the closet would receive the same reception. “It's acceptable in the singing world, but in the rap world I don't know if it will ever be acceptable because rap is so masculine,” said Snoop.

The Left Coast legend, and supporter of gay marriage, also clarified that he personally has no qualms with people’s sexual preference, but doubts the majority of the the people in the rap game feel the same. "I don't have a problem with gay people,” he added. “I got some gay homies."
