Nicki Minaj To Forego Summer Tour To Focus On Music, Business Ventures

Nicki Minaj’s business portfolio is getting rather large. This means, unfortunately for her Barbz, she won’t be hitting the touring circuit this summer. Minaj recently sat down with MTV News and discussed how her hectic schedule and focusing on making new music will mean the Young Money first lady may not have time to bless a stage near you over the next few months. “I don't think I'll have the time [to tour],” she said, “because I'm also going to be launching a few products this year that I'm really going to have to lend myself to the clothing line, I have a drink that's about to come out and these new speakers that you guys are going to see a commercial for this week or next week."

Nicki also said working on her third LP would take priority over hitting the stage. "I also want to be here so I can write," she added. "I obviously am going to start working on the third album very, very soon. I'm getting beats as we speak. I just haven't started writing, but that's my biggest priority at this point."
