LAPD Swarm Diddy’s Home In Response To “Swatting” Prank

It appears Diddy has become the latest victim of an on-going prank trend in Los Angeles called "swatting."

TMZ reports that more than a dozen of police cars and two police helicopters rushed to the Bad Boy mogul's Los Angeles home earlier today responding to reports of a shooting. However, when police arrived, it became clear that the tip they had received was part of a hoax called "swatting," in which an anonymous tipster reports an on-going crime taking place celebrity's home.

Diddy isn't the first celebrity figure to be wrapped up in a "swatting" prank. Apparently, Chris Brown, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and a number of others have been made the butt-end of the joke in this elaborate new prank.
