Black Milk “Synth or Soul” LP Stream

Detroit’s very own Black Milk blesses the beat fanatics with an infectious tape of ear treats. In anticipation of his forthcoming LP Synth or Soul, the instrumental project gets a full stream before its April 23rd release. Off the producer/MC’s collaborative series with artist Upendo Taylor titled Fuzz, Freqs & Colors, the album’s aural soundscape reflects the title with a batch of spaced-out, hole-punching knockers and futuristic soul harmonies. I’m telling you when Black Milk drops the real album it’s going to be one of the best albums of the year.

On the real? When I hear Black Milk I think of J Dilla. The time Black Milk spent with him definitely had a huge impression on his sound. But I’ll keep it realer. Black Milk is lazy. J Dilla put out crazy material compared to him. 9th Wonder is basically killing all other producers with his work ethic. This is dope but Black Milk isn’t taking advantage.
