Recap: New Releases & Weekly Album Sales Ending 3/10/2013

 

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ surprise hit The Heist continues to hold strong at the #4 position on the Billboard 200, totaling at over 420,000 units sold. At the same time, newcomers Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky maintain spots in the top 50, while the Notorious B.I.G.’s Greatest Hits collection saw a boost in sales with the 16th anniversary of his death. On the digital singles front, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis crack the top 50 twice, with their #1 smash “Thrift Shop” racking up another 326,000 sales. The list also finds Drake making four appearances, with his solo single “Started From the Bottom” cracking the top 10.
