Late last year, Lil Wayne announced that Kanye West would be having a “big hand” in I Am Not a Human Being II. After much speculation, Wayne clarified that Kanye hadn’t actually contributed music, but instead would oversee the album’s artwork through his DONDA imprint. Now that Wayne’s 10th studio album is out, we see that it’s full of surprising collaborations - Soulja Boy drops a verse on “Trigger Finger” and provides the beat for another record, Wayne’s ex-flame Trina adds an extra dose of raunchy to Wayne’s already overly-explicit “Wowzers,” frequent collaborator Drake makes a not-so-expected appearance by only providing half a hook for “Love Me,” and then there’s the Big Sean-assisted “My Homies Still” that saw the pairing of the GOOD Music solider and YMCMB’s general at a time many assumed their crews were beefing. We here at XXL think Wayne could’ve taken it a step further, though. Here are 10 collaborations that should’ve made I Am Not a Human II. – Kai Acevedo (@LilPuccii)

Chief Keef

Birdman had expressed interest in signing Chief Keef, but Keef wasn’t able to call YMCMB his home, which of course is a terrible thing and means we may never be able to hear Birdman talk his shit on a Chief Keef record. That could’ve all changed though, if Keef ended up on I Am Not Human II. A verse from Wayne wouldn’t even be needed, he could’ve just let Birdman and Keef do their thing. That would’ve been the business. Believe that, playboy.

Karrine Steffans

Remember the footage from earlier this year of Karrine Steffans lying in bed while listening to The Weeknd (his music can be pretty depressing), seemingly heartbroken, that hit the internet? She claimed it was all because her baby hurt her. Though she never names her baby in the video it has been rumored she was distraught over Wayne. This love quarrel could’ve possibly inspired a “Single 2.0.”

The Weeknd

The Weeknd’s music mostly consists of tales of drugs, women and partying, and he finds a way to constantly make all of this sound so damn depressing. A lot of Wayne’s music also consists of tales of drugs, women and partying, but Wayne is clearly having a much better time with it all. In fact, Tunechie has declared that has no worries. Appearing on I Am Not Human II could be reason enough for The Weeknd to cheer up.

Jay Electronica

On Christmas Eve of last year, Jay Elect directed a few tweets at a couple of rappers he’s not feeling too much. The attack, which seemed to come out of nowhere, was similar to Wayne’s now-infamous Pusha T tweet. Maybe the two New Orleans natives could’ve cooked up a lyrical onslaught that addressed everything from rappers they don’t like to how much they love Twitter. Honestly, as long as we got to hear a new Jay Electronica verse we don’t really care what they would’ve been talking about.

Lady Gaga

A Lady Gaga/Lil Wayne collaboration would be epic for obvious reasons. They are beyond talented, they are two of the biggest stars on the planet, and they both have an extremely unique sense of style. Whether it's Wayne and his Zebra-print jeggings or Gaga and her meat dress, both have been known to make some pretty adventurous fashion choices. Plus are we the only ones that would’ve been hyped to hear Mother Monster sing about what she’d do for some Trukfit?

Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick named his debut album good kid, m.A.A.d city after a not-so-pleasant smoking experience. That experience was enough for K. Dot to never smoke again. Wayne being well experienced with drugs of all sorts would be the perfect person to caution a young Kendrick about drugs. The song could’ve even doubled as PSA for teen drug usage. This collab could’ve changed the world!

We really just wanted to hear what a song called “Zombies and the Martian” would’ve sounded like…

Ja Rule

The fact that Ja isn’t scheduled to be released from prison for another few months is likely the reason he didn't appear on Human Being, but Wayne famously recorded his verse for Drake’s “Light Up” over the phone while still on Riker’s Island. And we all remember the scene from the prison-themed video for Ja’s mega-hit “Put It On Me” where he’s rapping over the phone to Vita right?

Rihanna

Rihanna and Lil Wayne have a few things in common. Both artists started their careers young, they each have one of the biggest moguls in music as a mentor, they live a rockstar lifestyle (full of good kush, alcohol, strippers, and of course, haters) and neither of them are going to apologize for who they are. She even named her last album Unapologetic. With such similarities how could we not want a Lil Tunechie and Bad Gal Ri Ri collab?

Justin Bieber

We know Wayne has stated in the past that he wouldn’t work with Bieber because he didn’t want to have negative affect on the “Baby” singer’s squeaky-clean image, but that was the old Bieber. A lot has changed for the young pop star. The singer with the once-wholesome image now threatens paparazzi, walks out of clubs with his shirt off, sags his pants, and disses Lindsay Lohan on Twitter. Ladies and gentlemen, Bieber is officially a bad boy, and what better way to cement his bad boy image then by appearing on an album that’s full of sex, drugs, sex, guns and...more sex?
