Birdman Says Lil Wayne’s Seizure “Didn’t Have Nothing To Do With Drugs”

Birdman finally breaks his silence on Lil Wayne's recent health issues that found him in the hospital suffering from a seizure.

In a recent interview with Hot 97's Angie Martinez, Birdman refuted claims that Lil Wayne's seizure was a result over consuming too much codeine, as TMZ previously reported. Rather, the former Big Tymer said that the seizure came about from Wayne being overworked, and said that the New Orleans rapper simply needs to, "relax for a minute and get some rest."

“He had a seizure through the night. We've really been in the hospital since Tuesday. All the stuff that people have been saying, there's no truth to it at all," he said. "We never left [the hospital] after the first seizure. We've been here since Tuesday...honestly, [the cause was] his work ethic, just how he puts in and what he believes in...it didn’t have nothing to do with drugs. No such thing like that. To me, it’s how he works. He works around the clock, he’s just a hard grinder for this music. But it wasn’t nothing about no drugs. He just needs to get some rest and relax, take it one day at a time. He’ll be back normal like anybody else, he just needs to relax for a minute and get some rest.”
