French Montana recently stopped by LA Leakers with Justin Credible to speak about his forthcoming Bad Boy debut Excuse My French, due out on May 21. He explains the reasoning behind his pushback, which stems from changing his initial single for sample clearances. He also reveals the release date is the same day Notorious B.I.G. was born. At the end of the clip, he breaks down the album artwork of Excuse My French.

In this industry it is kind of like you believe everything that is real and it is not. I thought of a kid walking through the dessert. You know when a dessert sometimes you might be so thirsty that you see water. And they won’t be nothing there. The whole journey of me coming from Morocco, North Africa and the whole theory [of] just me as a kid seeing the opportunity coming to a big city.
