Ace Hood new single, “Bugatti”, featuring Rick Ross and Future has been building anticipation for his forthcoming album Trials & Tribulations.

During his interview with The Breakfast Club on Power 105, Hood spoke about the success of “Bugatti” so far. He also went into breaking out of the shadow of DJ Khaled by showing fans the impact the single has as his own record.

“I made it my job to make sure I get up out of that,” he said. “You know, I wanted my own face. I wanted to be my own person. I wanted to move out on the streets on my own.”

Hood continued to touch on his situation with Def Jam. He recently left the label, transitioning to his new deal with Cash Money via We The Best Music. He says the move has been much better for him, as he has more control in his artistic vision with no pressures of putting out an album.
