Tyga Speaks On 'Bustas' Footage, Says He's Born And Raised In "Compton/Gardena" [Audio]

When footage of an old MTV show called Bustas surfaced a month ago featuring a teenaged Tyga revealing that he lived like the Fresh Prince growing up, the YMCMB rapper remained pretty quiet other than calling for TMZ “stop the lies” via Twitter. The rapper recently broke his silence on the matter in an interview with Power 106’s Big Boy's Neighborhood, saying the show he appeared on when he was 15 was edited to make the contestants look bad and reaffirmed he has been a Compton area native all his life.

“It wasn't called Bustas at the time,” he said. “It was a pilot. It was supposed to be ‘who was the next rapper to get signed’ at the time. The intro beginning was scripted. I never grew up in the Valley. I lived in Compton/Gardena my whole life.”
