Future Inspired By Jimi Hendrix for Upcoming Album

Future has chosen plenty of nicknames for himself. Future Vandross. The Astronaut Kid. Super Future. None have been more entertaining than Future Hendrix, which is also the title of his upcoming album releasing sometime in 2013.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, the Atlanta rapper discusses the process of the album so far. While Future didn’t share who he is working with for the album—names previously mentioned were Kanye West, Rihanna, Pharrell, Timbaland, and more—there is a certain guitarist he is looking to for inspiration. He credits the legendary Jimi Hendrix as one of his influences.

“He was a gifted individual.” he said. “He just stayed who he was and eventually it paid off.”

Admiring Hendrix's talent and uniqueness has put Future in a whole another zone for Future Hendrix. He feels that his music will touch people the right way.

"Everything about the music I want to be taking to the next level," he said. "It's got to be all the way right, because the quality of the music has to live up to my expectations."
