Sir Michael Rocks has been venturing off to his own solo career as of late. While many fans are hoping that Sir Michael and Chuck Inglish will come together for another album, it may not be happening anytime soon.

During an interview with AllHipHop via HipHopDX, Sir Michael Rocks makes it clear that his producing partner got too involved with industry politics. He didn’t say if the group will be going on a hiatus, but he did confirm that they are still working together at different capacities. "[W]e still work together in a lot of different facets," he said. "We shoot music videos, work on beats, we’re still working together, but we’re just not making music and putting it out together as a group, because it’s not that time right now."

He continued to say that the pair needed to figure out their own individual sounds and continue developing solo careers However, he didn’t rule out that some new Cool Kids music could be on the horizon.

"You break us up, we’re still going to turn out nice as fuck separately, and when we come together, we transition that energy into making a dope record,” he said. “Right now, man, I think we just need to be focusing on blowing up. Chuck needs to focus on his production; I need to focus on my solo stuff because it’s a different atmosphere, it’s a different feel when we’re separate than when we’re together. I think that, now, we need to be working on the music separately, but we still working together like nothing ever happened. But just as far as how we putting it out, we’re gonna put it out like this, and fuck everybody else."—Eric Diep
