There have been rumors for a while now that Nipsey Hussle is on his way to Maybach Music Group. In recent months, he's collaborated with MMG boss Rick Ross on "Proud of That" and "Fountain of Youth," the latter of which appeared on the Maybach compilation Self Made 2. Earlier today, reports were circulating that the deal was finally official, but the Los Angeles rapper wouldn't go that far when XXL reached out for comment.

Here's what Nip had to say via text message: "were at the table with a number of labels, but the MMG/WB team is Mos definitely a great look, what's most important to me is that the deal is a real partnership with a group that buys into the essence of what I represent as an artist, a brand, and a company, my new mixtape victory lap will clear up everything tho 12.21.12"

The label was similarly tight-lipped about anything official, as a rep from Warner Bros. told XXL that they have, "No comment at this time, but look out for a special announcement from Nipsey next Friday 12/14 @ Power 106's Cali Christmas in LA."
