Macklemore “Stand Up” [Outtakes From October/November 2012 In-Book Story]

I think the Democratic National Convention hopefully helped spark some fuel for the youth. I think people are used to seeing things happen really quickly. It’s very difficult for moves to be made, such as universal healthcare for all Americans citizens. That’s the one thing [Obama] promised and really wanted to follow through on, and that hasn’t happened. The economy is still in a recession. Yeah, I think the idea having Barack Obama in the White House, as the first Black President of the United States, was extremely exciting for our generation. In the last four years, I think it’s easy to become a little bit disenfranchised when he’s already in office and this is the re-election. It’s not quite the same momentum it was four years ago.

Hey I’m a white rapper. I support Obama. That gives me credibility, right?

He also made a song where he said to the gays that he is sorry he is not gay. He might not be gay but his music is.

Comment sections sure do bring out the homophobic ignorance in people. Grow up ChinChecker.
