There’s no denying Mannie Fresh’s extensive résumé, and Brooklyn MC/actor Mos Def is championed for his body of work (Black on Both Sides especially), too. The former is a New Orleans legend, who singlehandedly molded the Cash Money Millionaire’s early sound, while the latter is a lyrical mastermind who has often fulfilled many backpackers’ hip-hop wet dreams.
