It seems that much has changed since Floyd Mayweather joined 50 Cent on the cover of XXL's December/January 2012 issue, and the Queens rapper was escorting the boxing champ out to the ring to face Victor Ortiz in September 2011. Though Fif says the two are still friends, it sounds as though they've drifted apart.

"Me and Floyd is always gonna be cool," 50 Cent said recently on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show.

"Everybody around him is waiting on the next time he feels generous," the G-Unit general said of the celebrated fighter, who was recently released from jail after a short bid. "And I have a lot, so I don't wait for nobody. It's just a space and time. I'll go and do what I have to do. I don't gotta sit around and wait for the next time he feels like giving somebody something."

As for rumors that he had some sort of relationship with Mayweather's significant other, Fif put those to rest. "No, I would never mess with his lady," he said firmly. "I wouldn't do that with anybody that I call a friend."

It's a new day.
