Nelly, the famed rapper of the St. Lunatics, has recently took upon a new role as a judge/mentor on CW’s singing competition The Next. In the above footage, the Country Grammar rapper makes a surprise visit as aspiring singer and YouTube star Baiyu performs in front of a crowd at New York City’s Tammany Hall. The Chinese-American singer, whose cover songs rakes in millions of views on YouTube, will make her national television debut on The Next, but before, Nelly will guide her for 72 hours.
