Last week, Azealia Banks and Jim Jones exchanged words on Twitter with the topic of their friction being the correct definition of the term “vamp,” which both Harlem rhyme slingers like to use.

Well, just exchanging words via the social media network wasn’t enough for Banks. The young, sassy rapper unleashed “Succubi,” a diss track aimed at Jim Jones, over the weekend.

“Tru Life stole all ya chains/Max B wrote all ya flames/Montana rode all ya waves/Killa called you a lame,” Azealia spits over the track.

Jim Jones only subliminally responded by tweeting:

“Lol the things broke people do to gain attention #vampirelife.”

Their beef sparked all over the use of the term “vamp” last week.

“@AZEALIABANKS: VAMP: A very sexually/financially powerful woman who is usually characterized by a penchant for dark things; night, witchcraft, .. Etc.,” Azealia tweeted, causing a follower to reply, “@Rahim_theDream: @AZEALIABANKS but @JimJonesCapo already has a track called “Vamp Life.”

The words between the two got ugly, after Banks told Jimmy that he shouldn’t take credit for the term.

That triggered the following response from Capo.

“@jimjonescapo: @AZEALIABANKS knock it off please learn more about Harlem before u start vampin lol jokes enjoy ur day keep #vampin.”

After reading Jones’s reply, Banks began politely asking him to “go away,” prompting the Diplomat to disobey her requests by responding, “@jimjonescapo: @AZEALIABANKS tell ur mother to go away ub2 bit slore.”—Jakinder Singh
