Nas made quite the statement by posing with ex-wife Kelis’ green wedding dress on the cover art for his upcoming 10th studio album, Life is Good.

According to the rapper on his VH1 Behind The Music documentary, the garment was the only thing she left in their home after filing for divorce.

Speaking on the move to use it as his LP’s cover art, Esco told Mina Saywhat of Philly's Power 99 radio station that the infamous green dress "stung him."

"Yes, it was the real dress," Nasir confirmed about whether or not the garment was in fact Kelis' real wedding dress. "It was in the crib [and] I didn't know what to do with it."

"I don't think Kelis intentionally left the dress there, I think that was just one of the things that was left behind. I saw it, and was like 'Ohh she stung me with that one.' I been through things I thought only happens on TV."

On the cover, which hit the Internet via Nas' new website NasirJones.com, Esco is seen seated wearing a cream colored suit, brown wingtip shoes and carrying a wine glass in his left hand. As he's looking off to the right, in a serious stance, Kelis' green wedding dress is draped over his right knee.

Nas' manager, Anthony Saleh, confirmed with XXLMag.com that the photograph is both the acclaimed lyricist's official album cover and the dress was indeed Kelis' wedding dress.
