A Manhattan, New York lawyer has filed a lawsuit alleging that his $30,000 Rose-Gold Rolex Presidential with a diamond bezel went missing from a Midtown jeweler, only to later found out that the establishment sold the timepiece to Drake.

According to the New York Post, attorney James McMillan filed a lawsuit against Rafaello & Co. on West 47th Street in Midtown, Manhattan for selling his watch to Drizzy.

Sources close to Drake, however, told TMZ that the claim is total nonsense and that the Young Money rapper does own a Rose Gold Rolex—the same one he wears on the cover of his sophomore album, Take Care—but vows that he bought it directly from Rolex himself. Furthermore, the source adds that Drake never received a watch from the midtown jeweler named in the case.

Still, McMillan is sticking to his guns. He alleges that the drama started last year, when he brought his prized timepiece in for a cleaning. He claims the owner told him that he loved the watch so much that he was wearing it. McMillan went back a week later, only to allegedly be told that his watch was gone and later learn that it was allegedly sold to Drake.

“He goes back to the store and confronts them and they confirmed that the watch was sold,” McMillan’s lawyer, Claudine King, told The Post.

A lawyer for Rafaello & Co says that’s not true.

“I believe the allegations in this lawsuit will be proven to be without merit,” Mark Rosenfeld told the same newspaper.
