What You Might Know Him For and Why You Could’ve Cared: The Long Beach, California MC was best known for lending his high-pitched, but smooth voice on the hook to Dr. Dre’s “Bad Intentions,” which appeared on The Wash soundtrack back in 2001. “All I really know is your ho wants be with me, and she ain’t playin’/and what I’m sayin’ (she creeps with me), and sleeps, between the sheets,” Knoc spit on the hook.

That same year, Jay-Z infamously used those same vocals for his “Superugly” diss track aimed at Nas.

Knoc-turn’al also appeared alongside Dre and Eminem on “The Watcher” and appeared twice more (“Some L.A. Niggaz” and “Bang Bang”) off Dre’s classic LP, 2001.

Knoc was also a known ghostwriter for Dre. Knoc’s own The Way I Am debut album in 2004, featured the likes of Snoop Dogg, DJ Quik, Xzibit, Warren G and the late Nate Dogg with production from Dre, Timbaland, Scott Storch and Kanye West.

Current Status: Knoc’s still spittin’, having released his Knoc’s Ville LP via iTunes back in May of 2011. He’s also active on Twitter, on which he shared that he’s working on a batch of new tracks just earlier this week. —Mark Lelinwalla
