Producer/rapper Big Hutch is suing Eve and Dr. Dre, in addition to Interscope Records and Ruff Ryders Entertainment, for what calls “stealing” the 1999 hit single “Love Is Blind.”

According to HipHopDX, Big Hutch’s management says the producer was hired to produce for Eve and in one of the sessions between the two, “Love Is Blind” was one of the songs created. Hutch claims to have co-wrote and produced the record, which would later appear on E-V-E’s 1999 multi-platinum debut LP, Let There Be Eve…Ruff Ryders’ First Lady. Only problem is, he claims to have never been compensated for crafting the hit single.

“I’m not trying to take away from what Eve has done, but I was a key in helping Eve create a hit record,” said Hutch in a statement sent to HipHopDX.

Hutch has even kept many of the master recordings in storage, including Eve’s alleged demo.

Recently, Eve has been in the news for the highly-anticipated Ruff Ryders reunion show as part of the Rock The Bells concert on September 1 and 2. There, the Philadelphia rapstress will join the likes of DMX, D-Block, Drag-On and Swizz Beatz for the official Double-R reunion set.

“It’s gonna feel great to be on that stage,” Jadakiss recently told XXL. “Of course I do a bunch of shows with Styles and Sheek, but to actually have Eve up there is gonna be great.  We haven’t been on stage since the Ruff Ryder/ Cash Money tour, so I think it’s gonna be crazy!”—Jakinder Singh
