Last year, T.I. and author, David Ritz, teamed up to pen the novel, Power & Beauty: A Love Story of Life on the Streets.

Now, the duo is teaming up to release a followup, Trouble & Triumph: A Novel of Power & Beauty, which is scheduled to hit stores on September 11. Tip’s second novel of street literature focuses on two characters, Power and Beauty, and their journey.

Last October, Tip celebrated his first book alongside friends such as Swizz Beatz, J. Cole and Jadakiss. It was that time that T.I. also talked to The Huffington Post about how him being an author came about.

"I started it when I was first getting out [of prison] in 2010, and that's when I initially met Mr. Ritz," Tip said back then. "And he and I began developing the foundation of the story and picking each other's brains as the year went on. And then when I had to go away again, it gave me a lot more time to focus and go through it with a fine-tooth comb and just apply all of the necessary bells, whistles, and all of the extra elements into it that I felt would make it a compelling piece."

T.I. isn’t the only rapper dabbling into the world of street literatures via novels. Last month, Birdman threw a book release party for Cash Money Content author Wahida Clark’s, Payback Ain’t Enough.
