Beanie Sigel and Scarface have been talking about doing an album for years. In late March, Sigel and Face finally confirmed that their long-awaited joint album, Mac N Brad, would happen.

Now, there’s even more news for hip-hop fans to be excited about.

On a recent interview on MTV’s RapFix Live, Scarface told host Sway Calloway that he and Beans are 12 songs deep into Mac N Brad.

"We doin' songs, I got six, he got six," Scarface said. "It's a process that we go through to do this album."

Face Mob then called the Philadelphia MC live during the show to let Sigel tell it himself.

“It’s a reality now,” Beans said proudly over the phone. “You know our word is our bond. We said we gonna do somethin’, we gonna do it.”

They first confirmed the collaborative LP as guests on Statik Selektah’s, Showoff Radio, back on March 29.

Beanie and Face have shown nearly impeccable chemistry throughout the history of their collaborations, which date back to over a decade ago. Their track record together includes rhyming alongside Jay-Z on Face’s “Guess Who’s Back” and Hov’s “This Can’t Be Life” and “Some How Some Way.” They also traded bars on the Broad Street Bully’s “Rain” off his 2007 LP, The Solution.

In fact, their album title, Mac N Brad, stems from the track of the same name that the two cooked up on Sigel’s 2000 debut album, The Truth.

Although the anticipation keeps growing, there’s no set release date for the Mac N Brad album as of press time.—Mark Lelinwalla
