Day 2 of iStandard’s ‘Beast of The Beats’ 5 started off with a private luncheon for the 40 producers involved in the ‘Beast’ competition at the historic Johns restaurant in NYC. You could feel the excitement build as the producers arrived for sound check. After some networking, it was time to unleash the beast! There was a lot of talent in the building however there could only be 1 producer, or production team in this case, crowned ‘Beast of The Beats’. Hailing from Miami Florida, ‘The Mekanics’ consisting of 17-year-old Remedy and 18-year-old Technique impressed the panel with their competitive yet dynamic pop sound and took home an amazing prize package including production hardware and software, meetings with execs at various labels, as well as the first ever Monster Energy producer sponsorship and an all expense paid trip to Atlanta to be in a live studio session at the Legendary Patchwerk Studios with Shady Records recording artist, Yelawolf.
