Rick Ross did it with his Rich Forever mixtape back in January. Now, it’s Meek Mill's turn.

After Rozay crashed the popular mixtape website, DatPiff.com, with an excessive amount of downloads for Rich Forever, his MMG rapper Meek Mill did the same with his Dreamchasers 2 mixtape, which dropped Monday (May 7).

As of 4:15 EST on Monday afternoon, Dreamchasers 2 has hit over 282,000 downloads on DatPiff.com. Quite the birthday present for the rhymeslinger, who turned 25 yesterday.

Meek’s latest offering features the likes of Rick Ross, Drake, Fabolous, French Montana, 2 Chainz, Fabolous, Mac Miller, Kendrick Lamar, Wale and Big Sean. The latter MC appears alongside Meek on “Burn,” while Drake assists the Philadelphia rhyme spitter on “Amen” and Fab, Wale and Mac Miller appear next to him on the “House Party [RMX].”

The momentum for Dreamchasers 2 should pave the way for a big summer from Meek and his MMG comrades. MMG’s compilation, Self Made, Vol. 2, is set to hit stores on June 26, while Meek’s highly-anticipated debut album, Dreams & Nightmares, is scheduled for an August 28 release. In between, is Ross’ God Forgives, I Don’t, which drops on July 31.

“I feel like we’re the dream team when it comes to making records and making big records,” Rozay said during a press conference last week. “People kinda shied away from compilations, but I felt it was a great tool. The music speaks for itself. As far as the artists, it was a natural bond.”

Meek’s original Dreamchasers compilation included the hit song, “Houseparty.”—Mark Lelinwalla
