What it all boils down to is that it’s not the first time anyone has touched that beat.It’s sad that this situation even occured because at the end of the day it’s another recycled ideal that has been done over way too many times.That’s what’s wrong with music today,everyone is repeating themselves and swear up and down it’s new.

@MyNameIsEugene the reason it is different on many mixtapes, is because the music on mixtapes isn’t being used for a profit. On albums, like in Lupe’s case, he’s making money off a song that uses Pete’s beat. I still can’t explain the scuffle beat frank ocean over American wedding though…

All of this is stupid.
Mr Cheeks used the same beat for his song Reminisce 03 and Pete didn’t flip out on him and also that proves the song can be cleared for reusing and it doesn’t have to be remade.

Niggas need to let this bitch shit go because for 6 niggas to be on a phone goin in on some bullshit and you yellin about being from the streets makes that statement just the opposite.
And the ideal to remake this song is not original.It’s been done on many mixtapes.

What I find funny is how a producer, who sampled the music for T.R.O.Y. and has made a living off sampling is complaining about people not being… original LMAO!!! So somebody needs to tell Pete Rock, 9th Wonder and the rest of these producers who sample the music that was created from scratch by thinking of melodies and playing the instruments by great musical CREATORS of the past, that they aint shit. Pete Rock, 9th Wonder, and all hiphop samplers need to get off their high horse, because they’re not creative, they’re copy cats.
