ESPN.com Doesn’t Know Who Rick Ross Is?

Proud Philadelphia rep, Meek Mill was on hand to watch Game 6 of the NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals between the 76ers and the Boston Celtics last night (May 23). According to ESPN.com, Meek was sitting court side with none other than the Teflon Don himself, Rick Ross. Not so much. “Recording artists Meek Mill and Rick Ross (L to R),” the caption read. The photo pictured a bearded brown skinned man—significantly smaller than Rozay—sitting next to Meek. This is one instance where captioning a picture, “Meek Mill and friend” would have been acceptable. Here’s the thing, though. The photo was credited to Getty Images. So, ESPN either inherited Getty’s mistake and neglected to fact check, or saw no caption and thought it was Rozay. See the photo below.—XXL Staff (@XXLStaff)

    • Jaxon

It’s an iPhone case. You can get em at kiosks in the mall.

  • Banger Boys

Noticed the gold phone too. Makes his boy look stupid.

I mean if you are a sports guy who doesn’t follow rap, I guess that’s acceptable. But then again, how the hell would you know who Meek Mill is? Guy actually could pass for ross -180 pounds. Dude has a huge head too. Maybe it was a face only look before the caption, cause his face is pretty damn close. It’s like they photo shopped a head of a man 200 pounds bigger onto a normal body.
