Busy headlining his Club Paradise Tour, Drake still finds time to work on new material.

He recently told MTV News that him and longtime producer, Noah “40” Shebib, have begun to work on a couple of records while still on tour, but will officially start working on new tunes next month.

“I’m really excited to start working on new music. I start like June 18,” Drake said.

That’s a day after his Club Paradise trek ends. Till then, Drizzy’s tour bus serves as his studio on wheels.

"I got a studio bus out here so me and 40 started working on a couple joints the other night,” he shared. “Just getting warmed up.”

In the meantime, Drake remains feeding listeners will stellar guest appearances, including Meek Mill’s “Amen” and 2 Chainz “No Lie,” which is the lead single off Chainz’ debut album, Based On A T.R.U. Story, due August 14.

And there’s more assists that Drake will be throwing in coming weeks.

“I'm on French Montana's single; me, him, Ross and Wayne, which is a crazy lineup," Drake continued to tell MTV. "And then on Justin Bieber's record. I wrote a song for him as well."

Monday’s tracklisting for Bieber’s upcoming album, Believe, showed that Drake does in fact appear on a song called, “Right Here,” with his Young Money labelmate, Nicki Minaj, coming in as a guest on a separate track called, “Beauty And A Beat.”

Ironically, Drizzy told i-D Magazine last week that he doesn’t plan to rap well into his 30s.

“You know, there are artists who are 35 and up that still make rap and that still works for them,” Drizzy told i-D. “I don’t know if I want to be that guy. A lot of my music is about being young and figuring it all out.”

That’s looking way ahead. More immediately, fans can expect more heat from Drizzy.—Jakinder Singh
