Birdman Denies Sparking Beef Between Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj

Lil Kim continues to stir the pot as far as her beef with Nicki Minaj is concerned and this time she's dragging Cash Money head honcho Birdman into the mix.

Baby recently talked with MTV's RapFix's DJ Envy and, despite Lil Kim's accusations that her beef with Nicki Minaj stems from her being snubbed by Baby and his brother Slim when she attempted to collaborate on a track with them, denied being a part of any of the static between the two rap divas.

“Nah, ain’t no truth to that,” Birdman responded. “We based on creativity. If you know about YMCMB and you ever followed us and been a part of our music, biting and stealing that shit just ain’t for us. All [those] rap wars, we just grinding for the money, sun up, sun down. It’s Nicki Minaj all day everyday.”

During a recent interview, Kim explained that she was suppose to sign with Cash Money Records but things went sour when Birdman and Slim pulled the plug on a collaboration that had been in the works. After recording “Grindin’ Makin’ Money” with Birdman and Minaj, Kim says the No. 1 stunna scrapped the track from his 2009 album Priceless and things went downhill from there.

"I was over there with Cash Money — I was getting ready to be partners with them," Kim said. "If that would've been a big video and a big event record, that would've been big for both of us. But I personally think they didn't want me to stand beside her, which is stupid.

“The problem with her is, she was very catty with it,” Kim continued in references to Nicki. “I never had a problem with her. I was always nice with her. Always. She was a very obnoxious person, but I was very nice with her. From the time I saw her in that dressing room, the story she told, I don’t even know what the heck she was talking about. After that whole Cash Money situation with the song, we’re at [Diddy's son's] Justin’s birthday party, perfect time to come up and say, ‘Hey, we did the song together.’ Nothing. And she looked at me and rolled her eyes, and I was like, really? Every single record she made was coming at me.”
