During an interview with Pittsburgh's 96.1 KISS radio station, Wiz Khalifa announced his upcoming sophomore album, O.N.I.F.C. (Only Niggas in First Class) will drop on August 28th. The rapper also revealed the first single off the set will be “Work Hard,” a track produced by Stargate and Benny Blanco, which will drop on April 23.

The song won't be the first time Wiz collaborates with Stargate, as the production duo also helmed the lead single off Wiz’s major label debut album, Rolling Papers, titled “Black and Yellow,” which propelled the MC into mainstream success. Stargate also supplied him with his second single off that LP, “Roll Up.”

Wiz is coming off the release of his highly-acclaimed mixtape, Taylor Allderdice, which went back to the sound the fans were accustomed to hearing, after many critics argued Rolling Papers strayed from the rappers’ distinct sound. The rapper wrote a letter to fans earlier this year and acknowledged this.

“The mistake I made on Rolling Papers was thinking it was time to move on from that genre, not knowing that it had impacted people so much,” he acknowledged. “The album did great numbers, but creatively wasn’t my best work.”

In related news, Wiz recently spoke about linking up with Dipset head honcho, Cam’ron on his upcoming album, adding that he is a big fan of the Harlem spitter. "First of all, I've been a huge Cam'ron fan forever. Him and Snoop Dogg are my favorite rappers,” said the Pittsburgh native.
