The jury is still deliberating in the murder case of Trevell "G. Dep" Coleman.

On Tuesday morning (April 17), the jury asked the counsel to once again review evidence, including Coleman's video-taped confession, along with the police's homicide logs.  Subsequently, the 12-person jury couldn't come to a decision before the 1p.m. EST break at the Supreme Criminal Court on Tuesday, day five of the murder trial, in Lower Manhattan, NY.

Dressed in a beige sweater and pants, Coleman looked calm as he awaits to learn his fate. His wife Crystal Sutton and other family members, including his brother and aunt, were also in attendance at Part 51.

On Monday, the jury heard closing arguments from both the defense and prosecution.

Coleman's lawyer Anthony Ricco stated, as he's done all along, that his client did indeed shoot a man, but that it wasn't John Henkel, the 32-year-old Ridgewood, Queens man, who detectives matched Dep's shooting to. He pointed to detectives' inconsistencies in evidence as sufficient reason to find Coleman not guilty.

"They just could not get this story straight," said Ricco, who has said all along that detectives are matching Coleman to the wrong cold case shooting. "Are we talking about the same event? I'm begging you to go into the jury room and use your common sense!"

In response, Manhattan Assistant District Attorney, David Drucker, says Coleman is indeed the culprit in Henkel's murder, pleading with jurors to not buy into minute details and to rather weigh on Dep's confession.

"Everything-who, what, where, when, why and how matches up," Drucker said. "Ever heard the expression if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck and quacks like a duck? It's a duck!"

Dep, the former Bad Boy Records rapper responsible for hits like "Let's Get It" and "Special Delivery," is facing 15 years to life if found guilty.
