Mystikal will be performing and recording all the way up until he has to begin his 81-day prison term beginning on May 14 stemming from a probation violation this past February. So, YMCMB boss Birdman says he’s not worried about the rollout for Mystikal’s comeback album, Original, being temporarily derailed by the means of the LP coming out later than expected.

“We working now,” Birdman said last week in New York during a book release party for Cash Money Content author Wahida Clark and her new work, Payback Ain’t Enough. “Them little 80 days them ain’t about nothing. We’ll be on his next single soon as he comes home. From the concrete, straight to the concrete. Ya heard me.”

Earlier this month, Mystikal, 41, was ordered by Louisiana State District Judge Toney Marabella to serve the 81 days for a February arrest on misdemeanor domestic abuse battery charges. Mystikal served eight days and was released.

However, the new charges violated his five-year probation on extortion and sexual battery charges. Mystikal served six years for that case, coming home in 2010. In December of 2011, he signed to Cash Money.

Earlier this year, he released the title track from his upcoming LP, which features Baby and Lil Wayne. Birdman has originally planned to drop Original this summer, but those plans have obviously changed. In the meantime, Birdman has a bevy of releases to keep his company busy. Chief among them is Lil  Wayne’s I Am Not A Human Being II. Also on deck are LPs by Busta Rhymes, Bow wow, DJ Khaled, Lil Twist, Kevin Rudolph, Chris Richardson and Shanell.—Shaheem Reid
