oop Dogg has now staked his claim in women’s football.  According to HipHopDX, Snoop has become a partial owner of the Los Angeles Riderettes, an all-female football team of the Lady Arena Football League (LAFL). The Riderettes will be required to wear lingerie-like uniforms and play against other teams from different states in a series of eight-on-eight games.

The Doggfather has always been an avid lover of football. Aside from him being a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fanatic, Snoop has also coached his son’s youth football team.

Snoop has been labeled a hero amongst African-American communities all over California.  In 2005, he founded the Snoop Youth Football League (SYFL), an alternative sports program created for kids living in Los Angeles and surrounding cities like Compton.  The organization keeps the kids out of the troubled streets in the rough neighborhoods by giving them the opportunity to play competitive football games in and out of the state.  The games conclude with an annual “Snooperbowl” tournament.

In related Snoop news, 2012 XXL Freshman Future recently revealed to XXLMag.com that he has secured a collaboration on his debut album, Pluto, with the Dogg.

“I got this crazy record with [Snoop Dogg], said Future, who also said he has secured a collaboration with R. Kelly.

The feature marks yet another guest appearance in a string of collaborations for Snoop Dogg. On Thursday (March 15), R&B singer Melanie Fiona released, “Gone (La Dada Di)” featuring Snoop. This comes after Snoop collaborated with Wiz Khalifa on their joint-effort soundtrack, Mac and Devin Go to High School (Music From and Inspired by the Movie), which was released last year.—Chanel Clark
