The push to find justice for slain Sanford, Florida teenager Trayvon Martin continued on Thursday with a rally in Orlando led by the Rev AL. Sharpton and some important input from President Obama. Sharpton led the protest just hours after his mother’s death, telling protesters in a tweet, “I am on the flight to Florida and will move forward with our plans to protest the killing of Trayvon Martin. My MOM would have wanted me to.” President Obama weighed in on the controversial case, where the unarmed 17-year-old was gunned down saying the nation should do some “soul-searching to figure out how something like this happens.” Read More…
