According to Hip-Hop-N-More, Luda's oft-delayed, eighth studio album will be released on September 11, 2012, which is also the rapper's birthday. The first official single for the set, produced by Da Internz, will drop in coming weeks.

Last week, the same site posted images of Ludacris with various artists and friends in the studio, including Chris Brown, Rico Love, Jim Jonsin, Anita Baker and actor Lorenz Tate. Earlier this month, Rap-Up.com interviewed Da Internz about working on the set.

"People ask, 'In your own words how can you explain the Ludaversal album?' And I'm gonna say in one word: statement," said one-half of the producing duo. "That's it. That's it. Statement. Listen to me, this Ludaversal album is a statement, for real for real... I ain't saying nothing else."

Da Internz also added they have a "bunch of joints on there," including a track with the Chicago juke sound and "hood" tracks with that "'A$$' bass," the latter in reference to the smash hit "A$$" they recently produced for Big Sean. Additionally, they revealed the first single has a feature on it, although they wouldn't say who.

While Hip-Hop-N-More is reporting the album's release as Sept. 11, a rep at Def Jam, Luda's parent label, says there have been no internal discussions about that date. —Mariel Concepcion @Mceezy
