Over the last few years, with a relentless stream of mixtapes and videos, Lil B has made clear that he has plenty to say. Now, he's been given the forum to speak his mind once again, as the California native is set to give a guest lecture at New York University in April.

The speaking engagement will go down at the NYU Kimmel Center's Eisner & Lubin auditorium on April 11 at 8 p.m.

"MY LECTURE AT NYU WILL SPARK THE GENERATION AND MINDS OF THE WORLD THIS IS GOING TO BE #RARE AND HISTORICAL SHOUTS OUT TO NYU!" the 2011 XXL Freshman tweeted earlier this afternoon, in response to the first reports of the news. "THIS IS GROUNDBREAKING LIL B SPEAKING AT NYU, GOD BLESS ALL THE PEOPLE THAT WANT TO SEE THE WORLD PROGRESS IN A POSITIVE MANNER. THE ONLY WAY TO GET RESPECT LIKE LIL B AND MAKE HISTORY AND PROB BE THE FIRST #HISTORICAL RAP ARTIST TO SPEAK NYU IS TO BE POSITIVE."

Though not many other details about the event were provided, the description on the school's official site boasted, "Cultural icon Lil B will treat NYU to a very rare speaking engagement."

"THIS IS GOING TO BE HISTORICAL FOR ALL HUMANS WANTING TO SEEK PROGESSIONS WITH PPL," Based God concluded via Twitter.

Tickets to Lil B's speaking engagement will cost $5 to individuals with an NYU ID, and $10 for others. —Adam Fleischer
