Today marks the 15th anniversary of the death of Christopher "The Notorious B.I.G." Wallace and though it is a melancholic day, it is also a celebratory one as hip-hop remembers the late great lionized figure.

From his distinct presence, mind-blowing lyrical ability, charismatic style and wit, The Notorious B.I.G. effectively proved that he was one of a kind. Releasing only two albums during his short career, Big Poppa managed to defy the odds by being helmed as the undisputed King of New York in a short amount of time, eventually becoming one of the greatest rappers of all-time.  Though its been 15 years since his untimely death, Frank M. to the iz H phenomenal still has the game locked like the penitentiary as his legend continues to loom larger than ever.
