Live from Bedford Stuyvesant, the livest one, representing BK to the fullest…—“Unbelievable,” (1994)

Today marks the 15th anniversary of the death of Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace and though it is a melancholic day, it is also a celebratory one as hip-hop remembers the late great lionized figure.

From his distinct presence, mind-blowing lyrical ability, charismatic style and wit, The Notorious B.I.G. effectively proved that he was one of a kind. Releasing only two albums during his short career, Big Poppa managed to defy the odds by being helmed as the undisputed King of New York in a short amount of time, eventually becoming one of the greatest rappers of all-time.  Though its been 15 years since his untimely death, Frank M. to the iz H phenomenal still has the game locked like the penitentiary as his legend continues to loom larger than ever.

XXL has compiled 15 tweets from 15 hip-hop personalities as they take to Twitter to celebrate the life and legacy of B.I.G. Rest in peace, Biggie.
